Friday was a Family Day. We went out to find the Perfect Pumpkin at Queen Anne's Farm in Maryland. From the minute we pulled into the farm, Eliza was excited. She squeeled as she saw the pumpkins and went running to get a wagon, as if she knew just what to do.
She didn't like the scarecrow and wouldn't take her eyes off it.
When she saw the maze, she ran in full speed ahead. We had to sprint just to keep up with her!
Everytime she got to a decision point she would stop and put her finger to her mouth and say "hmmmm...." then take off running again.
Like usual, daddy made it even more fun running and hiding from her and playing chase.
This is her at a dead end...what to do?
Off again! So much fun! Just look at her whole body language! Even her fingers are excited!
We always let her lead through mazes and she always seems to find the end. Such a smart girl!
She found the perfect hill to roll down and threw herself down it with abandon!
Daddy couldn't help himself and decided to join in on the fun too!
Liza gave mommy some kisses. Such a beautiful scene!
Her hair is a bit tousled from rolling down the hill, but it's the only picture she sat still for the whole day!
Then it was time to find the perfect pumpkin. We let her pick one out and kept offering our suggestions. When I told her one of them looked like Cinderella's pumkin, she was sold!
This is her sassy face. Yep, pretty much see that all day!
She loved riding in the wagon but only wanted daddy to pull her.
I kept telling her look at me and smile, but she wouldn't. Finally at the very end as we were leaving I said, "just give me one smile for the camera." She turned around with this! Love it!
Our little family. As I'm typing this Eliza is right next to me and pointed to the wagon and then me and said "No, no, Mama. Daddy." As if to say, "Mom, you don't pull the wagon, only Daddy does." My little sassy girl!
