Family Home Evening

For Family Home Evening we decided to put up our Nativity.  Eliza loved opening the box and discovering all the pieces.  We talked to her about each one, starting with what a stable is, then the sheep and sheperds, the wisemen with their gifts, Mary and Joseph, and finally the baby Jesus.  She said "baby" and gave him a little hug.  There was a tender feeling in our home as we taught Eliza about the Savior and started off our Christmas Season.  I hope this feeling of peace lasts and we continue to remember the real reason we are celebrating.

This is the Nativity that my mother gave to us a few years ago.  The wood is from Jerusalem.  It is simple but I love it.  Next week we will put up the Nativiyy we bought from Guatemala.

Eliza placed the baby Jesus in his manger.  She kept taking him out and holding him and putting him back.
