Halloween 2011

We took Eliza Trick-or-Treating for the first time this year.  In the past we have only gone to the Ward party which she has loved.  But we decided she was old enough to do it this year.

It was probably the most adorable thing to watch!  She got really excited when our door bell started ringing and the kids were showing up in costumes.  We let her give the candy away.  She gave it away in handfuls which made her very popular with the kids!  Her face lit up everytime the doorbell rang.  So then we put her costume on and told her she got to go out and ring doorbells.

First, we saw our adult neighbors outside and Eliza promptly walked up to them and pulled some candy from her bag and gave it to them!  They were kind enough to give it back.  Then she saw a little girl out trick-or-treating and she gave some candy to her.  The girl was surprised but gave some of her candy to Eliza too.

We decided she needed some help so we prompted her to walk up to the door and knock.  It didn't take long for her to figure it out.  She marched up all the stairs by herself and knocked on the doors saying "tee-tee" for trick-or-treat.  Everyone thought she looked adorable.  One person even gave her two handfuls of candy because he thought she was dressed the best he had seen.  Another lady gave us candy, we left and then she called us back to show her mom because she thought she was so adorable.  And she was!

Nicholas gave her a little flashlight to carry but eventually the bag of candy got too big and so she needed both hands.  That was pretty cute to see too, her waddling up the stairs to the doors carrying her big pumpkin bag.

We let her have a few peices before bed time.  What a sweet girl!

  1. She is so stinking cute in her costume. I love Halloween for the sole fact of getting to see cuties in costume. And where do I get that darIng hat? Eliza is such a good hat model!
